Guilin is home to a number of China's ethnic minority communities whose lives have hardly been molded by the passing of time. As well, the region is naturally stunning. On this 4 day tour, explore the famous Chinese rice terraces in the mountains, discover local villages, enjoy a Li River cruise, and visit the town of Yangshou for some delightful shopping and dining. These are the best that Guilin and its surroundings have to offer!
Once you arrive in Guilin, we will take you to your hotel where you can rest up and drop off your luggage. The rest of the day will be available for you to do as you please, either continuing to relax or explore the city.

Longsheng is known for the many wonderful rice terraces in China. A 2 1/2 hours drive will take you to Longsheng Terraced Fields. Each of the fields weave and wrap themselves around the mountain ridges, forming artistic natural lines in the landscape. The steep mountain range looks so mystical that it has been nicknamed "The Dragon's Backbone."
Visit the Zhuang and Yao Minority villages afterwards. Each community has their own clothing styles, traditional, constructions, and customs, and they live harmoniously with the gifts that nature has brought them in their setting.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant at Longsheng. Return to Guilin City later in the afternoon.
| Guilin Lijiang Waterfall Hotel | Guilin Park Hotel The Li River is the heart and soul of Guilin. It has carved through the landscape and provides life to all the people and animals that depend on it. Today, a cruise down the river will show you the most stunning natural sights and cultural exposure. As your boat floats down the river, you will see limestone and karst mountains, dramatic peaks and rides, farmers working hard, animals relaxing and feeding, and you might even catch a glimpse of a fishing cormorant if you are lucky.
In the afternoon, you will land in Yangshou. You could take a stroll around the West Street where is packed with restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, and more.
| Yangshuo Mountain Retreat | Yangshuo Village Inn In addition to a Li River cruise, a top experience in Guilin is biking in Yangshou. In the morning, we will arrange you with a bicycle and then make our way in full tranquility and peacefulness in the countryside. Pass by the tall mountains, local farmers, paddies and orchards, rivers and bamboo rafts, and more. As part of your excursion, you will also have the chance to meet with a local family to hear what they have to say about life in Yangshou and its outskirts.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant in the countryside. After that, we will transfer you to Guilin airport for your outbound journey.
We use different hotels for different tour classes while the itinerary is the same. Deluxe Class is usually staying at a 5-star hotel, Superior Class at a 4-star hotel and Tourist Class at a 3-star level hotel. The prices for one person are based on sharing twin hotel rooms with another guest. A supplement is necessary if you want to book single rooms. And the prices may rise during national holidays, such as the National Day (September 30th to October 6th) and Chinese New Year (late January or early February)
All of our tour guides are certificated and experienced. They are local experts with detailed knowledge about attractions, history, culture and more. They know the best places to visit, can give you advice on restaurants that serve great local food, the best places to shop, or theaters for the best shows in town.
We use the modern air-conditioned luxury cars for families or 2-3 persons and small buses for small groups of 4-7 persons.
