Yellow Mountain is one of the most celebrated mountains in China by its lofty and steep, and was listed as "World Cultural and Natural Heritage List" by UNESCO in 1990. Yellow Mountain which is call Huangshan in Chinese, people regarded as the holy land of Taoist, A large member of Taoist ruins were founded there.

Climate

Yellow Mountain is located in the subtropical zoon. Yellow Mountain clouds scenery is well-known since the ancient times, you can see it all the year round, and the best time for visit is in winter, November to February. The best viewing place is in lotus peaks, heavenly peaks and bright summit, you will have a panoramic view of all the peaks.

Hot spring

The hot spring on the Yellow Mountain originated from Ziyun Peak, which is 850 meters above the sea level, the water contains bicarbonate, can be use it for drinking or bathing, it can produce 400 tons of hot water everyday, and the water temperature keeps 42 degree centigrade all the year round. Yellow Mountain hot spring has good effect for digestive, nervous, cardiovascular and metabolism.

Top Attraction in the City

Hongcun Village: It's located in the place which is about 10 kilometers off the northeast part of Yixian County. An ancient village over 800 years old leaning against Mt. Huangshan, it is folded in the fog of the Mt Huangshan, which makes it look like a natural landscape painting. The famous film "Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon" was made here.

Surrounded by a picturesque moat with bridges to the village and a half-moon shaped pond in the centre, it is a favourite haunt of artists and students who often stay with local families to paint here. Laid out to represent a buffalo, it is one of the prettiest places in the area, known as the Chinese town in the pictures and has been listed by UNESCO for its beauty and largely undeveloped traditional streets and houses. Various halls, dwellings and an old school are open to visitors.

Tips:

1、There are two ways get to the top of the mountain: Hiking with the stone steps or take the cable car.

2、It use to rain on the mountains, the floor is very slippery, we suggest to wear the raincoat better than umbrella, so that you can keep your balance if slip down.
