Private: 2-day Highlights of Shanghai, Suzhou and Tongli Water Town (Hotel Excluded)

This is a private package including a private guide and a private car with a local experienced driver. Your guide and the car will wait for you on time in the morning in your hotel lobby to start the tour.

The first stop will be Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. It is just located in one side of People’s Square. It is a good starter for a trip as you will have an overall idea of the city beforehand.

The following site is Oriental Pearl TV Tower – a landmark representing the modern Shanghai to some extent. The visit includes Shanghai History Museum, the first pearl and second pearl for a cool panorama view of Shanghai city center. It is definitely a lifelong memory!

You will have lunch at Seagull Restaurant for Shanghai cuisine to refresh yourself along Huangpu River.

In the afternoon your guide will take you to Old French Concession - a special beloved area for many foreigners. It includes several streets, sights and some large area of old buildings. Usually Sinan Mansion and Xintiandi are the most famous places to visit.

In the late afternoon, you will walk along the Bund. If lucky, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset. As the best of the best Shanghai highlights, you won’t want to miss this area.

Your guide will accompany you back to your hotel upon the tour ends. However you can decide where to be dropped off in downtown Shanghai. If you need some nightlife ideas, your guide will be happy to offer.

• Meals: A local lunch

In the 2nd day the private car will take you to Suzhou and Tongli Water Town for a wonderful trip. Suzhou is just 1-hour drive away from Shanghai and Tongli is about 40-minute drive away from Suzhou.

Humble Administrators’ Garden is always Suzhou’s No.1 attraction no matter for foreigners or Chinese travelers. It is the largest garden of Suzhou Four Great Gardens. Thus it consists of various small areas, halls, trees and stunning views. Stories behind the garden are interesting, so make sure listening to your guide carefully.

After steeping out the garden, you will take a rickshaw ride (40 minutes) through Suzhou old streets and local markets. It is the most popular activities with foreigners.  And a local lunch is set in Suzhou for local food.

Your car will continue to drive forward for your next stop - Tongli Water Town. It is a small town but it is an ancient water town that still live today. Many local people still live there. Tuisi Garden and some halls will be shown for you. A canal gondola ride for 20 minutes will give you a different but vivid sightseeing of the town.

In late afternoon, you will be escorted back to Shanghai at around 18:00 depending on the traffic condition.
