All in all, we had a great trip. Everything worked as planned or better and Chinahighlights facilitated it very well. Definitely, I will be recommending your company to my friends.

Hello Nancy,

We are finally home and somewhat rested. It will take us a few more days to adjust to the time change.

All in all, we had a great trip. Everything worked as planned or better and Chinahighlights facilitated it very well. Definitely, I will be recommending your company to my friends.

Your guides and drivers were great, too.

Our first guide was Ada. 5+ for her. Funny, warm, entertaining, good photographer :), etc. our first impressions of China were shaped by her enthusiasm.

Then was Cathy in Xian. She shared a lot of China history with us, specially her favourite Tang dynasty and the role of women during that period. Particularly interesting for me.

On to Lijiang and Li, the local guide there. Li brought us closer to Yi people and China minorities. Even so his English could've been better he made up with flexibility and desire to share with us the beauty and culture of the region. Him, being a native to the area, made our whole experience more authentic.

And finally Lele in Guilin. Lele looked after us better than my mother would :) He knew all the good restaurants not easily accessible to tourists, all the great dishes to try, made sure we are on time for different activities, all in all we were left free to enjoy the area which is incredibly beautiful. BTW, the cooking school with the market trip was very impressive and exceeded our expectations.

It was very nice to meet you Nancy in Guilin. You and everyone else we met makes Chinahighlights a great company to travel with. Have I answered all your questions?

I am trying to think what was the most disappointing on this trip. Everything was fantastic. If I try hard to think of "the least fantastic", maybe the Bravo hotel in Guilin or smog in Beijing (certainly not Chinahighlights doing:). The rickshaw ride in Hutongs was too touristy and the guide was boring but Ada "fixed it" by taking us afterwards for a walk in that area. Much better.

I am still looking through photos, I will definitely send you some. And yes, you can quote me and use us as a reference in any way you like.

Thank you again for the great trip.

Eva
