Thank you for arranging a great visit to China.I will recommend you to anybody. Also China Highlights was a positive. Their name was recognized and seemed to smooth things. Especially in hotels where we were upgraded a few times; I believe that was in deference to your company and their business.Hotels were all excellent.Locations great.Tour guides were very different in personalities but every one was very good. I must give an extra nod to "Marvin" in Xian as the best but all were very very good. Food was good at all the lunches.

Whitney, we will return home tomorrow. I wished to give you feedback while my thoughts are current. Thank you for arranging a great visit to China. I will recommend you to anybody. Also China Highlights was a positive. Their name was recognized and seemed to smooth things. Especially in hotels where we were upgraded a few times; I believe that was in deference to your company and their business.

Hotels were all excellent. Locations great.

Tour guides were very different in personalities but every one was very good. I must give an extra nod to "Marvin" in Xian as the best but all were very very good.

Food was good at all the lunches.

The one negative I want to share was Victoria Cruise Lines. (No blame intended as I was the one that requested the Sophia because I wanted to sail all the way to Shanghai). Frankly I would do that again. BUT they recently made a change which made things a bit unpleasant. Passengers in suites were to have dinners served in a small private dining room. (By the way, we upgraded to an executive suite when we boarded and enjoyed the space.). But Victoria apparently got greedy and offered upstairs dining to ANY passenger who paid a small "amenity" fee for the privilege. They set no limit so half the boat paid this extra.

Obviously we all couldn't fit in the small private dining room or receive table service. As a solution, they asked for volunteers to leave! Only the suite passengers went down to the general room for buffet dinners. None of the folks who paid the small fee budged.

Keep this in mind for any customers who want to be treated nicely. There are other Yangtze cruise lines, unless going all the way to Shanghai. We passed several other ships and all looked nicer. Treating their highest paying customers that way deserves notice to good tour groups like China Highlights.

In summary the China visit was fantastic. My thanks to you once again.

I love traveling. It is one of the most beautiful things in the world. When you go to a new place, meet new friends, do things you've never done, you will find yourself totally refreshed. That is what I really enjoyed. I hope one day, I can go to Paris, Rome, Greece, Switzerland, Barcelona, etc. All the places of interest attract me so much. I believe that as a travel lover, you also have some places in your dream, and I am sure, China is a must be. So WELCOME TO CHINA :)
