David's Feedback on 3-Day China Tour

Our overall impression was excellent. We enjoyed meeting Jing and seeing the sights of Xian. As well we learned more from Jing about China and how people live their daily lives, which is much more valuable than what you find out by reading newspapers.

Our overall impression was excellent. We enjoyed meeting Jing and seeing the sights of Xian. As well we learned more from Jing about China and how people live their daily lives, which is much more valuable than what you find out by reading newspapers. We were picked up and dropped off on schedule and Jing was flexible for minor changes in itinerary. She picked us up to take us to an evening culture show and then afterwards, which made for a long day for her and especially our driver, who lives out of town. We learned a little about her family and her beautiful daughter.

There were no major disappointments, although the traffic in Xian is horrendous, which made progress a little slow, but I presume that was considered in setting the itinerary. The weather was awful for the visit to the Terra Cotta Warriors, but nice on the following day for the walk on the wall.

We were amazed by the Grand Mosque and Moslem district of Xian, which was an unexpected highlight of our visit. No good pictures because it was raining so hard.

We enjoyed the two lunches, which were both at nice restaurants frequented by local Chinese people rather than foreign tourists. The Sofitel in Xian is very luxurious and highly recommended.
