Chengdu and Sichuan parts are our favoriate in general, Old Summer Palace in Beijing, Lijiang and Dali in Yunnan in general plus Tiger Leaping Gorge, just everything.

All of the tour guides are amazing. Lilly in Sichuan - Very nice and knowledgeable, understood our travel style which is very slow. We spend a lot of time looking at butterflies and catterpillars - Lilly knew them all and helped the kids find all kinds.

Emma in Beijing - I would say Lilly and Emma were equal - but the kids had a big preference for Emma - all three really really loved her! Emma replaced our more junior guide Eva for our last day in Beijing and this was our most wonderful day of the entire trip! We discovered many fun things, even went shopping for Hello Kitty items (we have three girls), had great food and great fun. Emma just felt like a friend taking us around Beijing. Lily and Emma are the great wow of our China trip.

Paul in Xi'an - We much enjoyed Paul's company - he shared a lot of information with us; this was particularly interesting because we are about the same age (mid-fourties), so it was interesting to learn about history but also about daily lives of someone 'like us'. Paul also went out of his way to help us find great restaurants we wanted to try.

Also, we really liked all the great food we discovered in different regions. We also really appreciated always having someone greet us at the airport or train station. With three kids and luggage, this made transfers very easy. We booked our hotels, but also very happy to share you the feedbacks. Our favorites for comfort were BuddhaZen in Chengdu and Yibbang Residence in Lijiang. The kids' favorite is Teddy Bear Hotel; they like the backpackers' atmosphere, the freedom, the great food and the other guests.

Thank you for being flexible with our schedule, particularly as the rain disrupted a few of the initial plans. Everything was fantastic - the guides, drivers, sceneries, history, food, logistics. We already recommend you and China Highlights to my friends! Thanks again for everything - you have been wonderful in helping organize this great trip and staying flexible during our stay.
