John's Feedback on 9-Day China Tour

We really enjoyed obtaining insights about everyday Chinese life, and culture. We booked our trip to see traditional historic sights (Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, etc.), but are also very interested in China's present and future. We really appreciated when guides recommended local restaurants, neighbourhoods, arts and culture.

We really appreciated when guides recommended local restaurants, neighbourhoods, arts and culture.

All of our tour guides are very good, Ivy is an exceptional, very well organized, spontanieously recommending suggestions to make our trip more enjoyable and full of many insights. Adrian (Beijing) is a very knowledgable, interesting and enjoyable tour guide, who made many good recommendations for extra sights to see, and was flexible in planning our tour. Kris (Shanghai) has a pleasant personality, and made many efforts to accomodate our interests. We appreciated her flexibility.

We love all on the itinerary (Great Wall,798 District, Terracotta Warriors, City wall, Pearl TV Tower; Xitang Water town and Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition), also quite like Houhai, Muslim Quarter and Tianzifang recommended by our guides.

Also the hotels are in good locations in all cities, and the one in Xian (Grand Noble Hotel) was the most memorable-- excellent food at breakfast and nice decor.

However, in terms of transportation - on two occasions we had lengthy delays at airports waiting for flights - we lost two days on our trip at the airport. Although this is not the company's fault, we would suggest looking at the 'on time' record of flights.
