Tour Itinerary
Normally, your guide will contact you the night before your departure. At 8 am, your guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby, and the car will be waiting for you outside the hotel.
Firstly, your guide will take you to Zhouzhuang, a 90-minute drive from downtown Shanghai. As one of the six major ancient cities in the Jiangnan area of China, Zhouzhuang enjoys a high reputation and is widely regarded as a famous water city in China. You will visit Shen House and Zhang House to learn about the local culture, architecture, and furniture and some interesting stories about ancient China. The Twin Bridges are also a must-see.
Fu'an Bridge is the only remaining three-dimensional bridge-tower combination structure. The bridge towers rise up on the four sides of the bridge body, facing each other from afar and looking magnificent.
After the bridge, take a rowing boat trip to admire the view you have just seen from the top of the tower. Seeing the attractions from a rowing boat gives you a different feeling. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes.
Zhang and Shen Houses were owned by rich merchants long ago. Everything, from the doors to the chairs, is like a beautiful artwork. You can explore ancient Chinese culture through the paintings, sculptures, and calligraphy displayed in these homes.
After sightseeing in Zhouzhuang, you will be transferred to Suzhou and have lunch at a local restaurant. The ride takes about one hour. Feel free to let your tour guide know if you have any food preferences.
This is one of the most important gardens in Suzhou. You can see everything you would expect in a classical Chinese garden.
Although most gardens in Suzhou look very similar, Guan Yuan Feng (Cloud-Crowned Peak), the landmark of the garden, makes Lingering Garden unique. You may also find all the litter bins interesting and beautiful, as they are all designed in the blue and white porcelain style.
This is an engaging way to discover Suzhou. As you walk through the old-fashioned streets and bustling local markets, you'll experience the authentic daily life of the local people.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai. It will be around 5 pm when you arrive in Shanghai.
