Walter's Feedback on 18-Day China Tour

Hotels were fine. We enjoyed the one in Yangshuo, not so much because it provided better services than the others, but because it was not high rise and gave us a view of life in the street in front from our window.

The whole tour exceeded our expectation. The tour itinerary is the best for us. 'The Warriors' and Xi'an as well as the countryside around Guilin are some memorable attractions. Our guide in Shanghai is the most outstanding tour guide. She had been in the business longer than the others and had travelled quite widely herself, but all of them were helpful and seemed to have been well trained. The drivers were good as well.

Hotels were fine. We enjoyed the one in Yangshuo, not so much because it provided better services than the others, but because it was not high rise and gave us a view of life in the street in front from our window. Meals took some getting used to, quality and variety of breakfasts varied, so did any dinners offered (which we often did not need because the lunches usually were more than ample). Lunches were always tasty, except for the 'Beer Fish' in Guilin, which we did not like - but there was an alternative. We did appreciate the fact that the restaurants chosen were all typically Chinese.

For shopping, we preferred the open markets, but only really had time to explore the one in Yangshuo. We did appreciate Chas' advice in Hong Kong when we asked him about Camera shops and specialist silk shop. We did buy something in both places. The night illuminations on the waterfront in both Shanghai and Hong Kong are the extra WOW factor to our tours. We will recommend your company to our friends.

For the comments about our time in China, frankly, at our age and in the time at our disposal we could not have fitted in more. If the tour had been say 2-3 days longer, we would have appreciated more time in Xian, Guilin and Yangshuo.
